IMPOSING FRENCH 2 PIECE CHESTNUT BUFFET DRESSER
Dating to 1850 and standing on traditional scroll feet and a plinth, this imposing French chestnut buffet is in very good condition.
To the inside of the base section there is a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of panel doors. Each door has a working lock with key. These 2 keys also operate the locks in the 2 doors of the top section.
The frieze drawers run with ease and both benefit from having their original ring pull handles.
The top section has 2 shelves to the inside and is enclosed with a pair of glazed doors.
This is all complimented with the proud ogee cornice.
The back of the buffet is also constructed in solid chestnut making the this the work of a true French country Artisan.

The buffet measures; base is 63 inches wide, 20 inches deep and 38.5 inches high. the top section is 15 inches deep with an over all height of 79 inches.

A FINE FRENCH ART DECO PINE 2 PIECE BUFFET / DRESSER
Dating to the beginning of the 20th century, this super 2 piece French pine Buffet is in very good all round condition. It stands on short feet with reeded moulding to the frame work.
To the inside of the base there is a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of panel doors complete with applied geometric moulding and working lock. The frieze drawers run with ease and have their original handles..
The top section has 1 shelf to the inside and is enclosed with a pair of glazed doors with original hammered glass and working lock..
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the back of the Buffet but it has all been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

Dating to the end of the 19th century, this super 2 piece French pine Buffet is in very good all round condition. It stands split bun feet with a moulded plinth.
?The base section is flanked with turned columns and to the inside there is a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of panel doors complete with applied geometric moulding and original working lock. The frieze drawers run with ease and have later brass handles.
The top section has 1 shelf to the inside and is enclosed with a pair of moulded doors which matches the base doors, it also has it's original working lock with key. This section is again flanked to each side by a pair turned columns and is topped by a traditional ogee moulded cornice.
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the Buffet but it has all been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

SUPER FRENCH OAK 2 PIECE LOUIS PHILIPPE BUFFET
Dating to the end of the 19th century, this super French oak buffet is in 2 pieces and in very good condition. Standing on bracket feet and a plinth, the buffet has a single shelf to the inside of the base section which is enclosed with a pair of panel doors. The left hand door is held shut with a sprung catch while the right hand door closes on to it and is held shut with a working lock and key. The 2 frieze drawers have their original knobs and run with ease.
The top section has 2 fixed shelves to the inside which are enclosed with a pair of glazed doors, and again with a working lock and key.
The bold ogee cornice is typical of this fine Louis Philippe period.

The buffet base measures; 52.5 inches wide, 19 inches deep and 40 inches high. The top section is 16 inches deep, 53 inches wide to outside of cornice with an over all height of the whole buffet being 88 inches.

A BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL SCOTTISH STRIPPED PINE DRESSER / SIDEBOARD
Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century this super Scotch pine Dresser / sideboard is in very good condition.
Standing on turned feet and a plinth, the sideboard has a single shelf to the inside which is enclosed with a pair of moulded panel doors complete with original turned knobs and cupboard turns.

The frieze drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints, run with ease and like the doors have their original turned knobs.

The tray top is all good with no significant marks or scratches ..



The sideboard has been recently stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm patination.

AN EARLY 20th CENTURY ANTIQUE GERMAN STRIPPED PINE DRESSER
Dating to the early 20th century, this super stripped pine 2 piece dresser is in very good condition.

To the inside of the base section there is a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of panel doors. These doors have their original knobs and are held shut with later sprung catches.

The frieze drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and slide with ease. They also benefit from having their original knobs.

There is also a very useful preparation slide which is located immediately above the frieze drawers.

The dresser top has 3 shelves to the inside which are enclosed with a pair of glazed arch doors.

These doors have their original glass and knobs and are held shut with sprung catches.

Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been some insect attack to the dresser. Although this is historical, I have sprayed the whole unit with a 5 star 30 year treatment..

This is a lovely piece of German furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.

AN IMPOSING EARLY / MID 20th CENTURY ANTIQUE FRENCH OAK BUFFET / DRESSER
Dating to the early / middle part of the 20th century, this stunning 2 piece French oak Buffet / dresser is in very good condition.

This type of dresser is unique to the Coutance area of Lower Normandy where they have been made for a couple of centuries.

The bottom section would have been used for pots and has a decorative apron and 3 frieze drawers all of which have their original iron drop handles.

Moving on up, there are 2 plate shelves each with a fretted gallery.

The top which would have been used as a larder has a single shelf to the inside and is enclosed with a pair of panel doors complete with iron handles and early pierced tin inserts.

This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern..

25 inches high

AN SUPERB LATE 19th CENTURY SOLID WALNUT FRENCH BUFFET / SIDEBOARD
Dating to the late part of the 19th century, this stunning French 2 piece walnut Buffet is in very good condition.
It stands on bun feet with a moulded plinth. To the bottom there is a pot shelf with turned balusters rising up to the cupboard area. To the inside of the cupboard there is a single adjustable shelf. This†is all enclosed with a pair of moulded panel doors complete with original working lock and key.
The frieze drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and have their original drop handles. The rouge marble top is good with no significant marks or scratches.
The top section has a galleried plate rack with 2 brackets which support the upper shelf and decorative back..

This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room / hall of any home traditional or modern.

AN IMPOSING LATE 19th CENTURY FRENCH HENRI II STYLE WALNUT BUFFET / DRESSER
Dating to the end of the 19th century, this stunning French walnut Buffet is in good all round condition.

It stands on turned bun feet with an attractive moulded apron.

To the inside there is a single shelf which is enclosed with 3 carved and moulded panel doors complete with working locks. Each one of these doors are divided by turned columns which rise up to the frieze drawers. Each of these drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and have dragooned moulded fronts. They also have their original handles and working locks with one key for all.

The top section has 2 shelves to the inside which are both adjustable up and down. This is enclosed with carved and paneled doors again with working locks. These are divided with pairs of turned columns which rise up to the traditional cornice and a gallery of turned spindles. For all 6 doors there are 5 keys plus 1 for the drawers. All the locks work though a couple are a little temperamental but I have well oiled them so they should be fine.
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.

Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been some insect attack to the Buffet but it has all been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment..
