A STUNNING LATE 19th CENTURY FRENCH OAK DOUBLE NORMANDY BED
This stunning 19th century French Normandy double bed is crafted in solid oak and is in excellent condition.

Standing on traditional escargot feet with moulded corner posts and carved capitals, this bed originates from the Avranches region of Lower Normandy.

Both the head and foot board has symmetrical fielded panels with hand relief carved swags of stylized leaves and flowers.

This is further complimented with beautifully carved side rails.

The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing. As with all French beds, there is no base but a slatted base can be tailer made for an additional £55.00.

This is a super bed which would fit well in any setting, traditional or modern.

The bed has been polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm inviting patination..

This bed will take a modern 4 foot 6 inch standard double mattress and measures to the outside;

54.75 inches wide

78.5 inches long

52 inch high head board

40.5 inch high foot board

IMPOSING FRENCH PITCH PINE BRETON ARMOIRE WARDROBE
Dating to the end of the 19th century, this imposing French Breton pine armoire is in very good condition.
The armoire comes apart in sections so will go upstairs with ease.
Standing on turned feet, the armoire is divided in to 3 sections with the center section having 3 shelves to the inside which are all adjustable up and down. A hanging rail can be fitted in to this section if needed included in the price.
This is enclosed with a heavy mirror door. The glass in this door is original and is in excellent condition. The lock works and is a later replacement.
The 2 flanking sections again have shelves which are adjustable up and down and are enclosed with a panel door which has geometric herringbone decoration.
These doors again have later working locks.
The turned columns to the front rise up to the cornice section which has a gallery of spindles and a raised arch pediment.

The armoire measures; 82 inches wide, 21.5 inches deep / 18 inches to the inside of center section. Height to the top of pediment is 96 inches.

A FINE EXAMPLE OF A VICTORIAN PINE LINEN PRESS
Dating to the middle part of the 19th century, this lovely English Victorian solid pine linen press is in very good condition and extremely well constructed.
The press comes in 3 sections (base, top and cornice) with the base section, which stands on a plinth and has 3 full width drawers. These drawers are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and have later turned wooden knobs. There has been a small repair to the bottom right hand corner of the top drawer which is shown in the photo. The top section has 4 press slides which are also dovetail jointed and are enclosed with a pair of flat arch moulded panel doors. The original turn latch is in good working order and is operated with a brass drop handle.
?This is all complimented with the ogee moulded cornice .
This is a lovely piece of English mid Victorian furniture which would compliment the room of any home traditional or modern..
The cupboard measures;

Standing on geometric feet and deep plinth, the wardrobe is split in to 2 sections. The right hand section has 4 shelves fitted and is enclosed with a carved panel door complete with original handle and working lock and key. The left hand section has a full width hanging rail fitted and is enclosed with a pair of panel doors. These doors again have a carved motif, original handle and working lock and key.

This is all complimented with a flat arch pediment cornice with carved motif.

This is a lovely piece of German furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.

Dating to the beginning of the 20th century, this German solid pine triple wardrobe is in very good condition and will dismantle down completely flat for ease of getting it upstairs....
Standing on stylized geometric feet, the wardrobe has a plinth section with 3 drawers, all of which are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and all have later handles.
To the left hand side of the robe  there is a full width upper shelf with later hanging rail fitted below. To the right hand side there are 3 shelves which are all adjustable up and down. This is enclosed with a central mirror door complete with it's original bevel edge glass which is all good with no pitting, and 2 flanking doors which have applied carved decoration and original brass handles. The 2 locks to the wardrobe are later and are working with keys.
?This is all complimented with contemporary moulded and reeded cornice section.
This is a lovely piece of German furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the wardrobe but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

All 3 doors have their original knobs and working locks with dedicated keys to each. The mirror glass is all good with only minor foxing.
The central section has a plinth drawer and 3 shelves above. The two flanking sections have internal drawers with a horizontal hanging rail and shelf above.
?This is all complimented with contemporary moulded cornice section.
This is a lovely piece of German furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the wardrobe but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

19th CENTURY LARGE ANTIQUE GERMAN SOLID PINE ARMOIRE WARDROBE
Dating to the end of the 19th century, this stunning German solid pine wardrobe is in very good condition and will dismantle down completely flat for ease of getting it upstairs....
The wardrobe stands on beautiful moulded bracket feet which continue as architectural features up the corners, terminating in carved and moulded knees and turned finials.. The plinth drawers which are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints slides with ease and have their original wooden knobs.
To the inside there is a horizontal hanging rail fitted. This is enclosed with a pair of fine moulded and fielded panel doors complete with original working lock with key..
All this is complimented with a superb carved and moulded raised pediment Rococo style cornice .......
This is a lovely piece of East German furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of historical insect attack to the wardrobe but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

A FINE FRENCH LOUIS PHILIPPE OAK 3 PIECE DRESSER
Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this super 3 piece French oak Buffet is in very good all round condition. It stands on scroll feet and a deep a moulded plinth.
?The base section has a single shelf which is enclosed with a pair of moulded panel doors complete with original brass escutcheons and original working lock with key. The frieze drawers are well constructed, run with ease and have later (but quite old) brass handles. The middle drawer has it's original working lock with key.
The top section has 2 shelves to the inside which are both adjustable up and down and are enclosed with a pair of moulded glazed doors which match the base doors, and also have their original escutcheons and later working lock with key. This is all complimented with a traditional Louis Philippe lift off ogee moulded cornice.
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the Buffet but it has all been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment..

FANTASTIC IMPOSING 19th CENTURY ANTIQUE FRENCH SOLID OAK ARMOIRE WARDROBE
Dating to the middle of the 19th century and being made of solid oak, this stunning Normandy armoire is in excellent sturdy condition.The armoire is peg jointed so will come completely flat for going upstairs.

The cheeks of the armoire follow down to form the stylized escargot feet and to the inside there is a single shelf with hanging rail below it. If required, further shelves can be made for the sum of £18.00 per item.

This is enclosed with a super pair of molded and carved panel doors.

The left hand door with it's faux-dormant panel is held shut with a simple hook and eye with the right hand door closing on to it and being held shut with a later working working lock and key. The blacksmith made solid brass hinges and key escutcheons are original to the Armoire . This is all finished off with a traditional "chapeau de Gendarme" cornice.

This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.

Commensurate with it's age there has in the past been some insect attack to the armoire but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment..

The armoire measures;

IMPOSING 19th CENTURY ANTIQUE FRENCH OAK LOUIS XV STYLE ARMOIRE WARDROBE
Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century and being crafted in solid and veneered walnut, this stunning and imposing Louis XV style armoire is in very good condition and will come completely flat for ease of going upstairs.

Standing on traditional escargot feet with carved acanthus leaf knees, the armoire is divided into 3 sections each with adjustable shelves and with the central one having a small drawer.

This is all enclosed with a large central door and 2 further flanking doors. Each has it's original handles and bevel edge glass. The glass is all good with no significant foxing.

This is all finished with a traditional ogee cornice and raised Rococo shell pediment.

.This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.

There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the armoire ( mainly on pediment as shown in photo) but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment..
