A SUPERB EXAMPLE OF A LARGE FRENCH CHESTNUT HALL STAND
This beautiful large French solid chestnut Hall Stand is in very good all round condition. Standing on turned feet the hall stand is constructed with a mortise and tenon peg jointed frame with moulded panels. .

The bevel edge mirror is original but as shown in the photo's, does have some pitting. The half round shelf has a decorative dropped swag and is flanked by a pair of umbrella / stick stands and is further complimented with series of hat and coat hooks which are all in very good order.

The stand is in it's original finish but has been given a couple of coats of wax to enhance the fine patination of this lovely wood. .

A SUPERB EXAMLPE OF A FRENCH BRETTON CHESTNUT HALL STAND
This beautiful solid chestnut French Breton Hall Stand is in very good all round condition.

Standing on a decorative plinth which also forms the drip tray for the umbrellas and sticks, the hall stand has a series of carved panels depicting traditional Celtic designs. The central mirror is all good with no significant pitting or marks.

The stand is in it's original finish but has been given 3 coats of wax to give a warm patina.. .

A GOOD FRENCH OAK BOX SEAT, BENCH, SETTLE
Standing on carved escargot feet, this French oak box settle is in very good condition and would date to the early / mid 20th century.

The settle has finely formed swept arms, fielded panels with canted corners and a moulded and carved frieze rail which is further complimented on the top rail.

There is a lock in the box seat which has been added at a later date but it doesn't have a key with it.

The settle has been polished with 3 coats of wax to give a warm and inviting patination

As shown in the photo, there has been a tiny amount of historical insect attack to the back rail of the seat. Although old, it has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment to ensure it's eradication.

46.5 inches wide x 17.25 deep with a seat height of 20.5.

LARGE FRENCH 19th CENTURY OAK COFFER DOUGH BIN
Dating to circa 1800 this super Normandy flour bin / coffer is in good condition. The coffer is constructed in oak with a fruit wood top.
The srong legs have mortice and tenon joints and are pegged for added strength.
The inside of the bin is painted and there has in the past been a small repair (3 inches x 1 inch) with a piece of zink. This is where a mouse has tried to gain entry in to the bin at some point.
The hinges being very old are actualy later replacements. This is normal with coffers of this age.
The coffer has been cleaned and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a fine warm patination.

There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to coffer but this is historical and has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment.

The coffer measures; 64.25 inches wide, 24 inches deep and 33.5 inches high.

A SOLID OAK 19th CENTURY SETTLE BENCH
Dating to the middle / end of the 19th century, this fantastic solid oak bench / settle is in very good condition.

Standing on stylized Gothic legs, the settle has a good deep seat which is fixed to the legs with traditional wedged mortise and tenon joints. The 2 heavy molded corner posts carries the back of the settle which is divided in to 4 equal panels each having a relief carved roundal...

This is a lovely solid piece of furniture which would compliment the room of any home traditional or modern.

This French butchers block is crafted in beech and is in very good condition.
It has the wear that one would expect after decades in a French Bucher.
The chunky legs are sturdy with the block just simply sitting on them.

The block has been cleaned and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm honey patination.

GORGEOUS FRENCH SHABBY CHIC PAINTED BENT WOOD WASH STAND WITH FREE JUG & BOWL
Dating to the turn of the century, this lovely French painted bent wood washstand is in good all round condition.
The washstand has been painted with Farrow & Ball Parma Grey and lightly distressed with a wax finish.
It comes complete with the jug and bowl which was bought with it in France.
The jug is good but as shown in the photo, the bowl does have some damage.

A FINE 19th CENTURY RARE ENGLISH PINE BIDET
Standing on lovely turned legs, this Victorian Pine Bidet would date to 1870 /80 and is in very good condition.
With it's fine proportions, the Bidet would make a very pretty coffee table and a good conversation piece.
The cover of the Bidet which is constructed with hand cut dovetail joints lifts off to boast it's original† stoneware liner.
The Bidet has been stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax to give a warm patination...
