| PRETTY EARLY 20th CENTURY FRENCH UPHOLSTERED DOUBLE BED |
This French bed dates to the early part of the 20th century and is in good all round condition..
Upholstered in a good quality braided velor fabric, the bed stands on traditional escargot feet with a stained beech frame. The fabric is all good with no damage but does have very slight wear to the headboard as shown in the photos.
The decorative mould to the head and foot board is further complimented with the serpentine side rails which bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing.
The bed comes complete with a custom made 2 piece wooden slatted base..
This bed will take a modern standard 4 foot 6 inch double mattress and measures to the outside;

Dating to the beginning of the 20th century, this superb French solid oak double bed is in good sturdy condition and? stands on traditional escargot feet.
?The head and foot boards are constructed with mortise and tenon joints and each have 3 fielded panels with decorative moulding and relief carving.
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing. This bed also comes with 2 part slatted base.
This is a super bed which would fit well in any setting, traditional or modern.
The bed has been cleaned and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm patination.

Dating to the end of the 19th century, this super French oak Breton bed is in very good condition.
The decorative carving with it's Celtic overtones is typical of this region of France.
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot board making a strong and secure fixing.
As with all French beds, there is no base but a wooden slatted base can be made for an additional £45.00
The bed will take a 4 foot double mattress and measures; 47.75 inches wide x 78 inches long, head board is 51 inches high with the foot board being 28 inches high.

This beautiful 19th century French double bed is crafted in walnut and is in good condition.
Standing on turned feet the curved foot board is divided in to 3 panels, each with applied carvings of swag decoration. This is further complimented with similar decoration to the head board..
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing.
This is a super bed which would fit well in any setting, traditional or modern.
The bed has been polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm inviting patination.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been some insect attack to the bed but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment.

Standing on turned and fluted legs, this fine French Empire bed is crafted in solid oak and is in excellent condition.
The foot board has a lovely rope twist molded perimeter with a carved panel depicting a basket of flowers which is typical of the Calvados region of Lower Normandy.
This is complimented with the head board which has similar molded decoration and a slightly raised and carved pediment.
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot board making a very strong and secure fixing.
As with all French beds, there is no base but a slatted one can be made for £55.00.

Upholstered in a high quality tapestry style fabric, the bed has a shabby chic painted beech frame which stands on traditional doe feet. The fabric is all good with no significant marks or wear.. The decorative mold runs around both the head and foot board and continues along the side rails.
