Description
Dating to the last quarter of the 19th century this French pine and oak dresser base / sideboard is in very good condition.Standing on stub feet, the sideboard has a single shelf to the inside which is enclosed with a pair of moulded panel doors complete with later (1950s)working lock and key.
?The frieze drawer is constructed with hand cut dovetail joints, runs with ease and has later turned knobs.
The top is all god with no significant marks or scratches but it has had a small repair to the back left hand corner..
The sideboard has been recently stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm patination.
There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the sideboard but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment.
The sideboard measures;
37 inches wide
18.25 inches deep
37 inches high.
