Description
This lovely pair of French bed dates to the end of the 19th century beginning of the 20th and are in very good structural condition. As shown in the photo's the studded upholstery is rather tired with some wear and staining and although with some shampooing could be serviceable, I would recommend that they be recovered..The beds are crafted in a stained beech and stand on escargot feet with moulded serpentine head and foot boards.
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing.
The beds come with a custom made 2 part slatted base which sits neatly inside the side rails..
This beds will take a modern standard 3 foot single mattress and measures to the outside;
38.5 inches wide
79.5 inches long
39.5 inch high head board
28 inch high foot board
