Description
Dating to the end of the 19th century this East German pine dresser base / sideboard is in very good condition.Standing on bun feet and a moulded plinth, the sideboard has a single shelf to the inside which is enclosed with a pair of fielded and moulded panel doors complete with carved acanthus leaf knees and brass cupboard turn handle. Above this there are 2 moulded frieze drawers which are constructed with hand cut dovetail joints and have brass drop handles.
The top is all god with no significant marks or scratches..
The sideboard has been recently stripped and polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm patination.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the sideboard but this has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment.
The sideboard measures;
39.5 inches wide
18.75 inches deep
36.5 inches high.
