Description
Dating to the end of the 19th century, this French solid pine wardrobe is in very good condition and will split down for ease of getting it upstairs....The armoire stands on turned feet and to the inside there is a full width hanging rail fitted with shelf above. This is enclosed with a pair of ogee panel moulded doors complete with original brass escutcheons and working lock with key.
Flanking this, there are fluted columns which rise up the the moulded knees supporting the fine arch top ogee cornice.......
This is a lovely piece of French furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the wardrobe but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 20 year treatment.
The wardrobe measures;
55 inches wide / 59 to outside of cornice
23.5 inches deep / 25.5 to outside of cornice / 19.25 inches internal
84.25 inches high.
