Description

This stunning late 19th century French Louis XV style double bed is crafted in walnut and is in very good condition.
Standing on traditional escargot feet with carved acanthus leaf knees, the head and foot board have quarter cut walnut veneer panels with a moulded serpentine frame and a finely carved Rococo shell pediment..
The side rails bolt in to the head and foot boards to give a very firm and secure fixing.
As with all French beds there is no base but a custom made slatted base can be constructed for an additional £55.00.
This is a super bed which would fit well in any setting, traditional or modern.
The bed has been polished with 3 coats of wax giving a warm inviting patination..

This bed will take a modern standard double mattress and measures to the outside;
54 inches wide
80 inches long
59 inch high head board
37.5 inch high foot board
