Description

Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this stunning pine Buffet is in very good condition.
It stands on stylized escargot feet with an attractive moulded apron and canted corner posts.
To the inside there is a single shelf which is enclosed with a super pair of panel doors. The left hand door with it's faux-dormant is held shut with a simple hook and eye while the right hand door closes on to and is held shut with a later working lock and key. These doors also benefit from having their original solid brass hinges and escutcheon plates. The frieze drawer has brass knobs and runs with ease.
The top is all good with no significant marks or scratches.
This is a lovely piece of French furniture and would compliment the dining room of any home traditional or modern.
Commensurate with it's age, there has in the past been a some insect attack to the Buffet but has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment..
