Dating to the middle / end of the 19th century, this fantastic solid oak bench / settle is in very good condition.Standing on stylized Gothic legs, the settle has a good deep seat which is fixed to the legs with traditional wedged mortise and tenon joints. The 2 heavy molded corner posts carries the back of the settle which is divided in to 4 equal panels each having a relief carved roundal...
This is a lovely solid piece of furniture which would compliment the room of any home traditional or modern.
The settle measures;
54 inches wide
20 inches deep
18.5 inches high to seat level and 38.5 inches to the top of the back..
