Description
Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this fantastic solid pine chest of 4 drawers is in very good condition and is a chest of high quality with the the drawer tops and chest corners being hardwood capped..Standing on it's original turned feet, the chest has 2 short drawers over 2 long which are all constructed with dovetail joints and all have their original turned wooden knobs.
The drawer runners are all good allowing smooth running of the drawers..
The top is all good with no significant marks or scratches and has a pretty little up stand which is also constructed with hand cut dovetail joints...
This is a lovely solid piece of furniture which would compliment the bedroom of any home traditional or modern.
There has in the past been a tiny amount of insect attack to the feet of the chest but this is minimal and although historic, has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment..
The chest measures;
37 inches wide
20.25 inches deep
29.5 inches high + tray top.
