Description
Dating to the middle of the 19th century, this imposing Louis Philippe Armoire is in lovely condition.The armoire is crafted with solid cherry cheaks and a symmetrical veneer front.
The armoire comes completely flat and can be assembled in about 20 minutes.
Standing on ogee scroll feet and plinth, the armoire has a series of shelves to the inside which can be removed to provide hanging space if required.
This is enclosed with a pair of panel doors which have applied carving. The left hand door is held shut with a hook and eye while the right hand door closes on to it and is held shut with it's original working lock and key.
The bold ogee cornice compliments and finishes this super piece of period French furniture.
There has in the past been a small amount of insect attack to the armoire but this is minimal and has been sprayed with a 5 star 30 year treatment.
The armoire measures; 49 inches wide / 52.25 inches outside of cornice, 19 inches deep / 20.75 inches outside of cornice and 88.5 inches high.
